Journeyman Worker

Looking for Journeyman Ironworkers who are quality welders, exude a good work ethic, are dependable team players, perform quality workmanship, are comfortable walking on iron at heights, and are able to work in a drug-free environment.

  • Ironworker 1 – Torch and Welding skills, layout skills, ironworking terminology, rigging and crane signaling, OSHA certifications, and equipment certification, hazard recognition.
  • Ironworker 2 – Builds upon level 1 skills, with knowledge in pretension methods, weld symbol understanding, advanced and multi-lift rigging, planning of erection and safety sequencing, construction math and layout, erection and design drawing understanding.
  • Ironworker 3 – Builds upon level 2 and includes lead men responsibilities, OSHA 30 certification, overall leadership, and planning skills, productivity recognition, lean construction.

Entry-Level Position

  • Searching for dependable individuals who are not afraid of hard work, wanting an entry-level position, committed to teaming up with a company that strives to be the best in the valley.
  • Some skill sets that we look for and train to are: operation of a cutting torch, operation of a welder, operation of a deck saw, SMAW and or FCAW welding, safety hazard and fall protection recognition, construction math, rigging and signaling knowledge, fall protection, hazard recognition.

Our Training Program

September of 2019 PSE’s goal is to jump-start operational in house training programs to provide:

Training Session 1

Post Hire PSE Ironworker 1/ Deck 1 training

Material identification, general job site safety, PSE safety systems, Job site basics, proper tool usage, on the job silica and equipment training.

Training Session 2

Ironworker 1 session 2

Refresher on session 1, layout and construction math, hoisting basics, torch use, welding 1 , crane signals and basic rigging, and OSHA.

Training Session 3

Ironworker 1 session 3

Refresher on session 2, torch and cut off saw usage, welding 1, laser and eye level setup and use, how to layout, and intermediate rigging.

Training Session 4

Ironworker 1 session 4

Refresher on session 3, basic blueprint reading, welding 2, bolt up procedure, job site planning, and specialty equipment training.
